1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the ALT Code website and our services, you agree to be bound by these terms of service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.

2. Services Description

ALT Code provides the following services:

  • Business website development
  • E-commerce store development
  • Custom web solutions and applications
  • Basic SEO setup
  • Google My Business (GMB) setup

3. Ordering Process

3.1 Consultation

Before starting a project, we provide free consultations to understand your needs and define the project scope.

3.2 Quote

After consultation, we will provide you with a detailed quote that includes service description, pricing, and delivery time.

3.3 Contract

Before work begins, we sign a written contract that defines all project details, obligations of both parties, and payment terms.

4. Payment

4.1 Payment Method

Prices and payment methods are negotiated individually for each project and defined in the contract.

4.2 Billing

Payments are made according to agreed terms which may include:

  • Payment upon project completion
  • Payment in installments (e.g. 50% upfront, 50% upon completion)
  • Monthly subscription for maintenance

4.3 Payment Delays

In case of payment delay, we reserve the right to pause work on the project or suspend services until payment is received.

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Code Ownership

Upon full payment of the project, full rights to custom code transfer to the client, unless otherwise specified in the contract.

5.2 Licensed Elements

Some elements (templates, libraries, images) may be under third-party licenses. Such elements remain the property of their original authors.

5.3 Client Content

The client retains all rights to content (text, images, logos) they provide for website development.

6. Client Obligations

The client agrees to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information needed for the project
  • Provide all necessary materials (text, images, logos) on time
  • Provide constructive feedback within a reasonable timeframe
  • Not request illegal or unethical functionality
  • Have rights to use all materials they provide

7. Changes and Revisions

7.1 Changes During Project

Major changes to project scope during development may require additional compensation and extend delivery time.

7.2 Revisions

The number of included revisions is defined in the contract. Additional revisions may be charged.

8. Warranty and Maintenance

8.1 Warranty

We provide a warranty on our work for the period defined in the contract (usually 30-90 days after delivery). This warranty covers errors in our code, but does not cover:

  • Problems caused by third-party code modifications
  • Problems with hosting or external services
  • New features or requirements

8.2 Maintenance

Long-term maintenance and updates of the website are available as an additional service by agreement.

9. Liability

9.1 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ALT Code will not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of revenue or profit
  • Loss of data
  • Problems caused by external services or hosting

Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service.

9.2 Independent Services

We are not responsible for third-party services, products, or content you use in connection with our services.

10. Contract Termination

10.1 Termination by Client

The client may terminate the contract at any time with written notice. In case of termination, the client is obligated to pay for all work completed up to that point.

10.2 Termination by Us

We reserve the right to terminate the contract if:

  • The client does not fulfill their obligations
  • There is a breach of these terms of service
  • There is inappropriate or abusive behavior

11. Confidentiality

All information we receive during the project is considered confidential and we will not share it with third parties without your permission, unless necessary to fulfill our obligations or required by law.

12. Portfolio and Promotion

We reserve the right to use the completed project as part of our portfolio and for marketing purposes, unless otherwise agreed in the contract.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms of service from time to time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting on this page. Your continued use of our services after changes means you accept the new terms.

14. Governing Law

These terms of service are governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Serbia. We will attempt to resolve all disputes amicably, and in case of disagreement, the court in Belgrade has jurisdiction.
